Do you prefer men or women?

I prefer women, especially beautiful women, but that does not only mean physically beautiful. I believe all women have a inner spiritual beauty.

How long have you been cross-dressing?

I have been experimenting with discovering my "other" self since my pre-teen years, and with regularity since my early 20s, and can pass when I care to. Cross dressing has been with me ever since I can remember and I know now that it will probably always stay with me. I like being beautiful, which is difficult, if not impossible as a man.

Any political aspirations?

None really in a power sense. I am a member of IFGE, and have been involved with the GenderLine (now Gender Explorers) transgender support area on CompuServe. I'm also a member of TGSF and TGEA. I am currently a writer for the weekly e'zine Transgender Forum. I enjoy my friends on the net and occasionally like to get together with them in small groups or gender happenings.

Do you go out in public often? do people know?

I have gone out in public many times and have had some fun experiences. I try to go out as much as I can, which with kids at home it is not as often as I'd like. There's so much fun to be had out there and my good experiences far outnumber the few bad times. Sometimes I get read, but nearly always I blend in.

What do you do for a living? are you always en femme?

I work for a large organization in an area that performs strategic planning in the areas of financial management and information systems. Other than for work my normal attire is androgynously casual feminine. I really only "dress up" these days if I have some kind of purpose. If I had it my way I would be wearing silky clothes all of the time. All in all I'm doing quite well and am very happy. I work as a man and no one really knows everything about me at work.

Do you classify yourself as a TS/TV/TG/CD or what?

Those terms are used by therapists to categorize their patients to help them deal with themselves. Also, it helps to describe a lot generalities that I think are in all of us to some degree. I think I've thought about all of them at one point or another in my life. When it comes down to it, I just like being a girl and all that goes with it. I don't know how to classify myself and I don't think I want to...an aging"Spice Girl Wanna Be" perhaps. You can find out more information on the subject in this page.

Have you thought about being a girl permanently?

I thought about it really seriously at one point in my life...but now I'm sure that I don't want to transition all the way. There may been a time many years ago that I thought that I might have been heading in this direction but it never came to be so I know it was never meant to be. I'm very happy and secure with my current gender. When it comes right down to it I guess I thought that if I had SRS I would somehow be more female. I realized that for me I already possessed what I needed to be feminine.

I can't even conceive of you not as Andee, but is your alter ego similar or different than you?

If you were to ask my friends that knew both sides of me they would probably say that I may be a little wild and crazy and just not quite right ...conservative but tolerant; liberal but libertarian; activist but quiet and sometimes passive. They never know what to expect next.

How much of the week do you dress?

Fully dressed on the high side it would be once or twice, although everyday in casual femme - T-tops and jeans or big tops and leggings. I used to fully dress often, in fact nearly every night several years ago. When ever I did that though I'd get tired of it except when I was going to meet someone. Now I pretty much do it when I want to get together with my T*friends.

Are you married?

Yes, to a beautiful woman who is the light of my life, and I have two wonderful children. My wife only "tolerates" my hobby, and unfortunately wants nothing to do with socializing with other TGs or SOs. It really is her loss because she is missing some great people.

So Andee what are you looking for?

I'm looking for people who are into sharing life experiences. I love to share fantasies, exchange photos, and be with friends who accept me for myself whether I'm a girl or a boy.

If you could say anything to the transgendered community what would it be?

I would say...

• Let's stop classifying ourselves and just be who we are and accept one another.
• Life is too confusing already to have us judging one another, stereotyping, and categorizing; leave that to the shrinks and just enjoy being who we are.
• Life is too short to live in fear of what other people think. Have the courage to get out and have fun.
