A professional writer and educator whose articles and short stories are familiar to many within and outside of the Transgender community, Bobbi Williams was a founding member of the Central Texas Transgender Society, served as Secretary of the Transgender Indpendence Club and on the Steering committee of the National Coalition for LGBT Health. She is currently on the board of Rainbow Access Initiative (RAI) (a New York Department of Health funded program to train Health and Human Services professionals in the NY capital region)..

    Bobbi has been 'out' to most of her friends, family, and co-workers for nearly ten years and her work has been accepted without regard for her gender identity. She has made presentations on transgender health issues at the LGBTI Health Summit, the Southern Comfort convention in Atlanta, the Transcending Boundaries Conference (at Yale University), and the 2005 and 2008 Conventions of the International Foundation for Gender Education (IFGE). She has also been a guest lecturer at colleges and universites.

    Bobbi's publications include newspaper and magazine articles, textbooks, trade books, reference manuals, and fiction. In October of 2001, her collection of Short Stories Me and Bobbi and the Gyrls, was published and she is currently "shopping" a mystery novel, titled Transfixed.
