The TGEA Holiday Formal

2001 TGEA Holiday
This is 2001 TGEA Holiday Formal Photo.
It was a blast, but a cold day. TGEA puts on a wonderful Holiday
Formal every december. This year was my first. So much fun. I
decided to get more involved in the support group. I took over
the Pinnacle newsletter edtiorship.
2003 Holiday Formal
Okay it's a year later and I am
now the Pinnacle Editor and a member of the Board. Nicole is the
TGEA President and a dear friend. She just awarded me the "President's
Award" for outstanding commitment to the organization. It
was a great honor. This year I threw myself into the publication
working many hours trying to make the newsletter one of the best
in the country. It's come along way, and I appreciate the recognition.
When I do something I try not to do it half ass. Guess it worked.
Getting involved with support groups
has many advantages. One of them is meeting great friends and
mentors. Everyone should have a mentor as wonderful as Debbie
Hahn. Debbie and her family have been so wonderful to me this
year. Her family has opened their house and hearts to me like
many others before. They are truly saints.
This dress I am wearing was Debbie's.
She is wearing a dress she wore in a wedding this past fall. She
was one of the Brides maids and I was the photographer. I used
to shoot professionally but never in heals and a long dress. That
was interesting, but I digress. Cerise took this photo of us.
Thanks Cerise.
You might notice my smile. I now
have braces. I started in January. After it's all done I will
hopefully be pretty. Now you know why I don't smile much.
Me with another TGEA member. This
is Sharon, she and I are in the lobby of the hotel. We are acting
foolish. Sharon is a little firecraker who is comming out of her
shell. God, I wish I had such a petite frame.
