Proudly serving the transgender community since before the turn of the century!
My name is
Jami Ward,
and yes, when I was born, my birth certificate had an 'M' in the
little box labeled "Gender". I won't say what my birth
certificate or my driver's
license says in that same little box today, because I don't really think it's
important anymore.
I will tell you, though, that 'Jami' is a name of Hebrew
origin meaning: "One who supplants or replaces".
Anyway, I'm glad you chose to stop off here
on your tour of cyberspace. Perhaps you're wondering just why this site
exists (aside from the metaphysical reason that it
just exists because it exists). Well, this page is
here to prove to others, especially other transgendered folks,
that you do NOT have to live your life in isolation. I don't care
who you are, or how different you think you are, there are at least
a dozen others like you out there somewhere. If a macho juvenile delinquent
boy from Texas with a dirty little secret can grow up to become a really
out-of-the-closet
CyberGoddess
,you, too, can become anything you want to be.
So, what's here for your perusal? Well, there is a
brief
biography
of yours truly, some
pretty
pictures
of your hostess
(including some new ones from recent times),
some
links
to other places you might like
and some new
writings
of mine. I'll probably change the contents periodically
as I (or you) get bored with things, so check back in from time to time
to see if things are different.
Is all this just a little bit self-serving? Sure, it is, but I am one of the things that I know well, and
I like who I am. You don't have to like me, but you really should like yourself.
And with very little effort, you can. All you have to do is give yourself
permission to be who you truly are - even if that doesn't necessarily match the picture on
your driver's license or the gender on your birth certificate.
