I am also a huge fan of westerns. My favorite westerns not only feature my favorite stars, but the firearms and the leather for those firearms. Custom made holsters, cartridge belts, scabbards, etc. Oh, and head gear, hats. I love hats. The movie Tombstone with Kurt Russell, Val Kilmer and Michael Biehn was a great example of this. Tombstone might not have been historically accurate, but the look and the acting was wonderful. |

So was the movie The Quick and the Dead with Sharon Stone and Gene Hackman. And of course I don't even have to mention the Clint Eastwood westerns. From television to the silver screen, there are literally hundreds of great westerns out there . Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid with Paul Newman and Robert Redford, The Shootist with John Wayne, The Long Riders with an incredible cast too big to list, Once Upon a Time in the West with Charles Bronson and Henry Fonda. Cowboy stars like Gene Autry and Tim Holt. Just many many and many. |

The factual history of the old west is also one of my all time favorite subjects. History can be found in abundance in books, magazines, the Internet and in fantastic museums across the United States such as The Autry Museum of Western Heritage in Los Angeles, The National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City, The National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame in Fort Worth Texas and up and down the highways of our great country. |

The infamous "Boys Gang" hideout and rendezvous at Black Oak Canyon, California. These photos were taken in the 70's by an unknown source. I really enjoy reading about the real lives of old west outlaws and seeing historical photographs like these. |
